Here in Missouri I have no scapes yet.
Who else is waiting on first scape and what state?

I had first scapes on Hemerocallis lilioasphodelus and on a plant purchased as Hemerocallis flava yesterday. But last night we had a frost; I have not checked to see if the scapes survived. In most years those of H. lilioasphodelus do not survive and I rarely see a single flower in the clump. I also had scapes on 'Bitsy' several days ago.

Update - the scapes on H. lilioasphodelus and 'Bitsy' were badly damaged by the frost - probably killed.

I just checked this morning and no scapes yet here in NYC. I was expecting to see some on Butterscotch Ruffles which usually blooms in a couple of weeks. But it's seems like everything is late this year. Sad

Checked Butterscotch Ruffles again this morning after getting some much needed rain. I found a scape! Hurray! If the past is any indication I won't see scapes on any others for another 2 weeks.

Was surprised to find a scape this morning on Hold Your Horses here in Indiana! The first of my established plants this year and very early for me! I do have scapes on new arrivals that came from California but those are not a real surprise.

I found two new scapes this morning! Unnamed plants, but these are such thick stems and buds already rather large.... So that makes a total of seven scapes in all, among the unnamed. The Stellas are covered with buds, and I just saw a scape on one H. fulva which are in a bed where I hope they can be contained, now, after having been everywhere here. Thumbs up

So, among the unnamed fans I got from Teresa was one I coddled through the winter in a container because it kept getting eaten down to the ground by something! I finally planted it in the ground a week or so ago, in a different area from the others, all by itself in the middle of an otherwise daylily-less bed.

This morning I see what I believe is a scape forming on that dl! which I am very excited to see as in the midst of salvias and penstemons and what all, it will be quite a visual treat, I expect! Also excited because, yanno, survival and all that. Green Grin! Hurray!

Don't fret. I'm sure you'll find scapes soon! Butterscotch Ruffles is my earliest & blooms 3-4 weeks before any of my other 100+ daylilies. If it wasn't for that one I wouldn't even bother looking for scapes until at least June.

On leaf can be seen.

Hope it's not killing itself by blooming! Hilarious!
It might be the right daylily, couple years ago I also bought Final Touch from Walmart and it was actually right!
