..on a wild beach, not in flower but it had berries..
Anyone has an idea in what family it could belong?

Thanks Stefan, it could well be an Aegiphila sp. Flora do brasil gives 12 species for the area, I'll do a further search..

I think I'll give up on that one, there is just too little info, photos etc..on the web of the different species.
