I think it is time to start a 2015 photo thread seeing as we already have a few photos that have trickled in. I have my first bloom, Soiree, always one of my earliest. Tetraploid too!

Thumb of 2015-05-21/pardalinum/130ea7

Looks like it will be awhile until my next open bloom.

Jason, You and I will save the best for last! I'm usually the last float in the parade around here. Rolling on the floor laughing We've got lots of time; we'll be posting well into August. I enjoy seeing pictures of the foliage and whole plant, too! And, then those lovely garden arrangements----Oh my, can't wait 'till Jo Ann starts posting! Whistling

its funny, we have some orientals that are damn near 5 feet tall. we also have some orientals that are only 5 inches tall. but that's good. terrible thing to have them all blooming at once, then gone all at once as well.

Hello, I'm not normally hanging out on this forum; only have a few Lilies in bloom.

Here are my 'Easter' Lilies:
Thumb of 2015-05-23/greene/c82058

This one is new for me. The man said it would be a black 'Easter Lily', so I waited patiently for the bloom.
Here is is. No, not black but it's pretty. Not bad for $2. Thumbs up Do you think it may be 'Triumphator'? It seems a bit too pale. (I have no clue.) Confused

Thank You!

Hi Greene! Nice Easter Lily! The other is an LO aka an Easter Lily crossed with an oriental. There are many with that coloring and they generally can vary depending on heat. I think it's too pale to be Triumphator. Maybe Bellsong? Either way a good deal!

Thank You! Yep, I bought two of them. Big spender.
Since I'm not a serious collector I'm happy with it just as it is.
Maybe I will continue to call it "This is Not a Black Lily". Rolling on the floor laughing

No such thing as a black lily although there are a few really dark reds.

Yep, like I said, I'm not a collector so I didn't have any reason to doubt what the man said about his plants.
He just said "it's a black Easter Lily" and what the heck, they were only $2 per plant. It's all good.

The 'Blackout' is blooming now; it's a dark red and I like it just fine.

Here are photos of Triumphator blooming in Arcata last year, from two different plants.

Here are photos of Bellsong

My Bellsong has more light pink.

Thank You! for the photos. I can see the differences.
Mine seems much less pink than the Triumphator; I notice the unopened flower buds on the Trimphator are pinkish in color as well, where on mine they are more white in color.

BellSong is sort of all-over light pink; very pretty.

Guess I will just be happy that I have a plant that blooms.
Probably will go hunting for more Lily plants; they make my eyes happy.
