It's highly ornamental, bees love it, the fruit is edible and delicious, mature fruits have many household uses, and the plant is easy to grow. What's not to love?

Dave, I have used a luffa to wash my face with for over 44 years. It was advertised to help get rid of blackheads when I was a teenager in one of those little make up books that you could mail order out of. It was called a 'wonda wash' and I bought one. Been using them ever since. You don't need any facial scrub if you use this. It exfoliates your face. I have been wishing for some seed
