my favorite Peony is 'Red Charm, for two reasons. First, it is the earliest Peony in my garden, and second the huge rich deep Crimson color is a real stand out!

Sue, I saw your pictures on the main page and you get a big thumbs up from me! Thumbs up I can't grow Peonies, as I live in Florida where it's too darn hot for 90% of things I see in catalogs. My grandma in WV has a Peony and I was lucky enough to visit a few years back when it was in bloom. So beautiful! My favorite from the article was 'Coral Charm'. I wonder if there is a series of "Charm" cultivars or if the name is a coincidence? In my imaginary Northern garden I would plant both 'Red Charm' and 'Coral Charm'. But probably not next to each other as I think that would clash. Plus, I think they would be deserving of their own spots.
