My H. rosa-sinensis are outdoing themselves!

The first two are El Capitolio Bloody Mary and Tequila Sunrise. The Third is Love Story.

Then we have Cherry Appaloosa and Double Orange. The third is H. moscheutos, a hardy hibiscus.

Beautiful! Mine aren't doing very well this year, but I do have blooms. Is it possible that the plants are smaller this year because they went into the winter too dry? I'm sure I didn't water late into the season and then we had a drier winter with not much snow cover.

I usually fertilize them early in the spring and that seemed to be enough. This year they're really small so I'll make sure to keep them watered before they go dormant and see if there's any improvement next year.
