|Well, as some of you may know we had floods of Biblical proportions here in the Tampa Bay area. I'm fine, but I sure have seen a lot of fungi in the yard. So while I was out cruising for butterflies this afternoon, I took some photos! Now, let me say that my dad is a woodturner and we have a wood pile in the backyard that he tries to get fungi to grow on. It "spalts" the wood which makes it have better color. I don't know if his little experiment has any effect on the fungi I'm seeing but I thought I'd give you a heads up so you know why you're looking at a wood pile. Oh, and I live on a half acre and these were all found on that property. Sorry I don't know the names.
This one had a very gelatinous texture.
This was on Dad's wood pile.
These three pictures were all under an oak tree.
These three were under a different oak tree.
