Garden.org Admin

Hi everyone!!

I'm pleased to announce that @mellielong has agreed to be the moderator of the Gardening for Butterflies, Birds, and Bees forum! I asked her today if she would be interested, and she agreed Hurray! Hurray!

Melanie brings a lot of enthusiasam and dedication to the forum, which is why I'm so glad she's agreed to be a moderator.

ATP is such an incredible site with the most wonderful people that our moderators aren't needed as "police officers" Lovey dubby Rather, they are around to ensure spam gets deleted and forums get put in the right place, and any other housekeeping duties can be done in a timely manner just in case Dave or I am unavailable. So, if you see any spam on the forum, feel free to tree-mail Melanie, and she can zap it gone Thumbs up
As always, Dave and I are always available if needed as well Lovey dubby

Join me in a "welcome" and a "thank you" to Melanie!! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

I'm excited to take on more duties here at ATP! The people on this site are great so I doubt I'll need to intervene much, but hopefully I can keep the enthusiasm going. I know our forum gets a little slow in the winter when a lot of our butterflies, bees, and birds go away, but that's why it pays to have a Floridian running the show. Hilarious! Plus, we've gotten quite a few international visitors over the last year which has really livened things up. I'm looking forward to my new role as moderator!

There was no moderator.

In fact, most of our forums are without a moderator. There are a few that came with one because their forums were moved over from Cubits. ATP is full of such awesome members that there's no real need for them from a "policing" viewpoint. It is handy to have a few extra people with delete powers when spam hits, though Thumbs up For the BBB forum, its awesome to have a dedicated person who is passionate about the subject to help move things along and drive discussion Thumbs up
