Thanks Janice! Cosmos! Well we have Rose of Sharons a few weeks early here. Did your garden bloom at earlier times this summer Janice?

No, actually. We had a colder and longer winter than normal.
You will notice in many of my upcoming photos that I have not deadheaded much. The reasons for this are many. We love to see the goldfinches feasting on the seedheads and I like things to self-seed/or I harvest seed.
Your Daylily Blog is wonderful, Kathy!! Smiling

I'm back after a few busy days. Yes, Janice, both of my crapes have exfoliating bark. One is a standard, the other a bush.

Rain, heavy rain. The temps fall by at least 10 degrees during a thunderstorm. It is very overcast today with continuous rain showers. It is very dark at 2:15 PM here and the temp on the lanai is 79 degrees.
