|Recent genetic testing has confirmed that Colocasia gigantea not only differs from other Colocasia morphologically, but that it's ancestry is closer to Alocasia. The old name Leucocasia gigantea (Blume) Schott 1857 has been resurrected and is now being used. We currently have three plants in our database that were affected.
Giant Elephant Ear (Leucocasia gigantea)
