Hi guys i found this bug swimming in the pool this afternoon. Can anyone help me identify it, and is it harmful? I have kids and we're in summer right now. Thank you

I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database! Plant Identifier
called water scorpion. I think they are harmless but unsure, read some conflicting things
