I have some squirrels that would love to get after those 'shrooms'. I have some red ones that they were buzz sawing thru the other day. I would swear they were high as a kite or drunk off those things.

Flowering for the first time yesterday. I am running behind.

JUST CELEBRATE
Thumb of 2015-11-04/Gleni/5ab6a4

DANNY STEVE MITCHELL. This is the first time this clump has flowered for me. There was another bloom 4 days ago but the bloom hung, caught up at the front of the flower. I have another clump that apparently flowered last year and the photos show the blossoms hung on it too. For this bloom in the photo I watered heavily to see if it made a difference. Does anyone know if DSM has a reputation for hanging?

Others:

FREEDOM'S HIGHWAY. The one fan has turned into a wonderful clump this year. Lots of blooms to come.

Flowering the first time for me this season

BEAUTIFUL EDGINGS
Thumb of 2015-11-05/Gleni/d4fc65

FORESTLAKE RAGAMUFFIN is a true dormant here. It has lasted three years so far.

HEMEROCALLIS CITRINA . The bleached, floppy fan I got off eBay had to be seen to be believed. Supposedly from Vietnam the blurb said. It is now doing fine after some loving care.

First poly for the season.
And BILINGA likes to poly. Very hard to photograph this plant. Grumble, grumble.

Jess, hanging is when elaborately edged segments of the flower (of teeth, frills, tentacles, owls ears, angel wings or the like) do not come apart but get caught up with each other and the blooms only partly open or not at all.

Here is one bud of DANNY STEVE MITCHELL that I separated by hand but it didn't help much.

MOROCCAN SUMMER which I have had a not too good a run with. I eventually broke the clump up and spread it throughout the garden. Now some of these are doing quite well especially in the drier areas of the garden.
