Loving Zeus and Timaru right now. They're peaking, but in a minute or two they'll be done, and the OTs will take over. Also included is our furry garden ornament, who cannot take a bad picture. ![]() |

Little closer view of the corner anchored by Zeus right now. The persicaria in front of it is too tall this year, because of all the rain I guess. I pinched it back all spring, but it grows an inch a minute. ![]() |

Lovely, Laura. The greenish nicotiana looks fantastic with that white lily. I will have to remember that combo. |
I promise I am sharing a mixed bed in this one ![]() ![]() Tracey |
Not so mixed in this one ![]() ![]() Tracey |

I do see a few, and the keyword is few, other plants in the first photo. How do you keep track of your lilies Tracey? I see they are planted quite close together. Just beautiful garden beds. I don't know how you can ever leave home this time of year. |

Absolutly Tracey.I plant lilies close too. |
One thing, planting close gives weeds less of a chance to take over. Second, even when I plant with distance, which I actually do sometimes too, they fill in with years of growth and some multiplication. In order to remember who is who, I have EON mini markers. The first bed, the actual mixed bed I call Ramona's Inspiration, because she (Ramona, Faraway Flowers) inspired me to create it starting with daylilies, which I had a few of, and several more now, then I filled those daylilies in with lilies, coneflowers and tree peonies, primarily, though there are a few other odds and ends in there. The coneflowers are 'Firebird', 'Pink Poodle' and 'Tomato Soup'....I think, if I recall correctly. Just to stick up for myself, I will tell you that there are at least 20 varieties of daylilies in there, no kidding. ![]() Tracey |

It seems like it would be allmost impossible to see the markers, that's why I was wondering. I have trouble keeping my irises marked, and they are so much shorter. Not a mixed bed, but here's a plant from one. Japanese iris Victorian Trim. ![]() |
Now that's gorgeous. What a nice blending of colors you have there Polly. As far as the markers, I didn't want something that takes precedent over the plant itself, so I see it as something that I can refer to, but not overpowering the beauty itself. Tracey |

'Arsenal', bad name, nice lily. It has a very unique form, almost reminding me of some sort of opened tulip.![]() Tracey |
