It's very tidy and make a low profile mat of leaf rosettes. This one just happens to be on its own making a good subject of an ID.

I don't know Asters but maybe a variety of China Aster (Callistephus chinensis) ?

So many asters......I don't think that one matches up quite right but I sure like the China Aster.
