I have had S. 'Phyllis Fancy' in my zone 8a garden for 9 or 10 years now. It has taken 108 degrees in summer and 7 degrees in winter and has come back reliably. Although the color is not quite as flashy as some Salvias, it puts out so many flowers for such a long time that it is worth the sizeable chunk of real estate it occupies in the garden.
