I just finished making a orchid pot for my "clearance sale" plalaenopsis. I put a thin layer of moss around the chicken wire to keep the bark from falling out.I'll keep an eye on it to make sure it gets good air flow.

I like it! It's going to look amazing when it blooms in that planter. Post a pic when it does. Hurray!

That's a neat repurposing of that bark, Heath. Thumbs up

I agree What a great idea, and a good eye for seeing the potential of this bark! Love it! I've got a good amount of chicken wire left over from a "moss pole" that I had made for a Pothos. Hmmm, you've got me thinking now!!! Thank You! for sharing this!

Looking forward to more pics as it fills in and blooms! Thumbs up

Thanks. I thought it turned out really nice.
But doesn't every parent think their baby is cute' no matter how ugly? Hilarious! After looking at the price of orchid pots I figured I would try to make one.

Rolling on the floor laughing you can be proud of your "child". I have all of the supplies you used and I'm definitely pilfering your idea.
