Hemlady Sometimes there seems to be a correlation between price and performance with his cultivars. Some of the inexpensive one’s I bought from him seem average in terms of vigor (at least so far in just their first year), while many of the expensive ones he gifted me amazed me with their vigor. Although a couple inexpensive ones did do very very well.

Apparently Paul does like one that you have, “Friends with Benefits”, because I see a new intro “Chromatose” with it as a parent. And speaking of “Chromatose”, I have its other parent “Work It Girl” and have plans to hybridize with it. Thrilled to see that Paul went in a different direction than what I plan to.

Ahead My favorites are pretty much the ones you picked out. I’d say that “Little Miss Ribbons” as a short, small spider with great color intrigues me. And while the bloom of “Ballistic” doesn’t look particularly remarkable in the photos, I suspect it really POPS in person and the bloom performance sounds amazing. Plus with it being a late I’m also intrigued by that one…

I have Friends With Benefits and Beneficial Sister which were both intros a couple of years ago. Beneficial Sister does better in performance than Friends With Benefits.

There are some beautiful cultivars on his website! Wow!

I cant speak to the growth of his cultivars. But I can attest to the quality of plant he sends. I ordered Eminent domain this past early fall. He sent me an insta clump of 8 fans.

I ordered Wild Wanda, and Hypatia Also.

He is an awesome guy to chat with also. He is a winner in every book.

Yes, Paul is a great guy. He sent me Beneficial Sister as Friends With Benefits. About a week later I get an email from him saying he made this mistake. So, he sent me the correct plant and I was able to keep the wrong one that he had sent me. I was very fortunate.

I was not that familiar with Paul Owens intros. But I must say I was blown away by his newest collection. It is not a radical collection, rather it is slightly more unique and different than the current offerings of 2016 intros so far. Colorful, lovely, and in some cases I love the unusual form. A winning collection of 2016 intros. Hurray!

I have ordered many of Paul's creations, he always sends great plants. They have all done well for me here. I ordered his new one named "Tokyo". I love the beautiful colors and the edge which is two colors.
