|My young yellow clivia got buried in the greenhouse somewhere by mistake during the plant protection frenzy over the weekend. Today I realized clivia needs a spell of cold temps in order to bloom. So I went hunting for it in the greenhouse. I *thought* I was organized in there. Apparently not! It wasn't in the first area I looked. It wasn't in the second place I looked. Did I feel silly when I called out, "Clivia, where are youuuu?!"? Not really. I knew she would show herself if I asked. And there she was, hiding between the hoyas and the Japanese/Holly fern. Now safely tucked away in the cooler unheated garage. I hope she blesses me with yellow flowers come spring for my efforts.

"The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew and act anew. We must disenthrall ourselves, and then we shall save our country. "
