Whew! there are a lot of upset folks at DG. Another format change with no warning, After the last major change, folks asked if there could be a simple notice at the home page with a link to learn about changes, rather than just logging in and it is fait accompli .

We were told individual notices were not feasible...not what was asked for.

We were told it was Not open for discussion....we understood and just asked for warning.

The info is in the Site Update forum. Very few folks read that forum on a weekly basis, much less daily. That was why it was requested that a link be posted on the home page...

Not gonna be very nice.

I happened to see the notice, but made an effort to view the Updates. The last time I logged in earlier today, it was still on the old format. I guess I'll have to look.

I Joined here, partly because of the changes going on, but also the activity level was dropping in some of the forums and questions/Id requests were not being answered. I find pros and cons for both sites, but am on this site so much more.

Hey Kim. I log on there daily and somehow managed to completely miss any kind of notice on my home page. That was the one thing that rather placated folks during the last upheaval....the thought that there would be some kind of link saying changes were upcoming and you can read about them (not voice suggestions, etc) on the Site Update page. I have maintained my DG membership solely for a small group of friends that post on the Gen. Discussion/Chat forum. They are well worth the money, but unfortunately the site is not, in my opinion.

Thankfully, many of them are either here or on Cubits.

The changes on DG are just horrid. I only stayed there for the small group on our chat thread. Won't be renewing after this last "upgrade".

This forum holds all the conversations about things other than gardening. You will probably see folks you recognize too. No one here is snarky and everyone enjoys the camaraderie and exchange of info and ideas. No drama here.
