That link is good Thumbs up and will let you know your zone for the cold temperatures that your plants will tolerate.
There is another type of zone called Sunset which takes into consideration things other than just the cold temperatures.
Here is the explanation and a map of your area.
Sunset Zone 28, AHS Heat Zone 9, USDA zone 8b~"Leaf of Faith"

My only issue with Sunset zone is that very few places that sell or label plants for sale make any use of it.
