Thanks for posting that link. From what I've read, there's a big focus on regeneration this year. Will have to check it out.

Hi Cindy. It looks like Regenerative Farming is replacing Permaculture.

Not having read much on regenerative farming, how do you think it differs from permaculture or are they interchangeable?

Im not sure yet what the difference is either. but catching up with Acres would probably be a good way to find out. I did notice that some permaculture programs seem to be lagging. I tried to contact Lakota permaculture. Looks like they are no longer there.

"Regenerative agriculture is a sub-sector practice of organic farming designed to build soil health or to regenerate unhealthy soils."

"Finally, we are helping to regenerate our communities "

"Many of the practices associated with regenerative farming are management practices associated with organic agriculture ."

Sounds like soil reclamation to me, plus philosophy and activism.

hazelnut - Sadly, I looked up Lakota permaculture and searches contained "La Loche" permaculture and then came news of the shootings last week.

The permaculture people that were with the Lakota seem not to be there. I was trying to contact some one concerning the 900 bison to be slaughtered by the government. If they had enough land, that would be the best place for those animals.
