Welcome to All Things Plants, @Caliapeel36 !

I agree with Greene, those do look like 2 different plants; can you give us any more information about them?

Those first two look kind of like Nicotiana (flowering tobacco) to me -- maybe? I'll give @Chelle a shout-out, since I got my Nicotiana from her...

For some reason the first plant reminds me of a Snapdragon. I could be totally wrong.

It might be a nicotiana, but the seeds look to be a bit too large by comparison.

It's important to note that these were found near Bathurst which is in New South Wales, Australia, unless there's another Bathurst which I haven't heard of.

That puts a whole new perspective on the identification.

There is a Bathurst in Canada.

Can you provide a photo of the entire plant(s) so we can have a better chance at getting a proper ID?

If we know then which Bathurst it is, we can look for plants which grow in that country. Australia has vastly different plant species.

Yep, we had better wait. I checked and there is another Bathurst in South Africa. Too many plant possibilities.

Hey, Caliapeel36, which Bathurst? Which country? That will help narrow things down a bit. Thank You!
JRsbugs is a "Super Sleuth"; she will figure this out right quick. Thumbs up

Thanks Caliapeel.

It's a tough call without being familiar with the local plants, if you can find the same plants when in flower that would help but as it is I'm afraid it's not going to be possible.

There is an Australian plants society where someone might be familiar with seed heads.

The site has pdf links with plant lists if you ever feel like going through some of them.
