Anyone want to venture a guess as to who ?
Here's a few clues:
Without her, this forum would suffer greatly. She's our reigning expert on all things roses as well as being a first class "enabler" !
Right now she's got an owie on her leg.........

In case you haven't guessed, it's ZUZU !!!

Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you. I just got back from my birthday dinner, which included many margaritas. I'll sleep well tonight! Hilarious!

Happy belated Birthday ZUZU. Sounds like you had a great time. Imagine, Valentines Day being birthday, same as pruning and fertilizing roses day. Who needs anything more?

Thank you, Molly. My birthday's actually the day after Valentine's Day, February 15th, which is officially known as Single Awareness Day.

Technically, though, I could celebrate my birthday on Valentine's Day because I was born on the other side of the International Date Line, so it was the 14th here when I was born on the 15th in Korea.

Well, either way you look at it, I am late wishing you a happy birthday, but it sounds as if it was a good day. Are your soon-to-arrive roses a part of your birthday celebration?

A few years back, I received a big box in the mail full of my favorite orienpet lily bulbs, with a card that said Love you, Happy Birthday! I asked my husband about it, but he knew nothing, then called my daughters who also knew nothing about the mystery gift. We had an awkward few days before I looked through my old emails and realized I had placed the order in the fall....I completely forgot about it. It really was the perfect gift, but sure made me question my sanity. It was quite the joke on myself!
We don't exchange gifts but I am not complaining, because my husband's attitude is, if you want it and we can afford it, then just get it.
Every year I tell myself no more plants, but the other night I saw a presentation on new salvias and hibiscus, and already I'm looking for a place to fit them in. This year I'll be selling many of my daylilies and iris, so maybe the budget will balance.
