The 'Pacific Blue' in commerce is a hybrid: Salvia brandegeei x munzii.

Is the photo by pixie62560 correct? I grow S. brandegeei and have looked at this hybrid but couldn't tell what the difference was between the two. Pixi62560's flower looks all wrong to me. Confused

As I haven't grown this one, what salvia variety do you think it is @HamiltonSquare?

ID by picture is difficult at best, and wrong a great deal of the time. With a picture like this I have no clue.

My best guess would be S. patens. The flowers not fully open and no foliage to see but the shapes of the upper and lower lip look like S. patens to me. There is no patens cultivar by that name surprisingly. I tip my hat to you.
