Salvia 'Killer Cranberry' is another microphylla type Salvia that has hit the market. It was bred by Monterey Bay Nursery and is being distributed by Sunset & Southern Living (among others.) I was curious if anyone has grown it and found it to be particularly special. There are just so many microphylla/greggii Salvias out there in this color range already that it must be special somehow to really tempt me to fork out $ for it.

Thanks in advance! Smiling

@FBTS grows and offers it. I've been so tempted to order it last year and this year. Maybe next year. Looks beautiful.

This variety stands out for it's dark, wiry stems, strong growth and good floral presentation. A really nice variety. Does get a bit large.

I knew I should've ordered this one this time. Sighing!

Sounds like a winner! Thumbs up
