Has anyone heard of this tree? This tree was made mention in a passage I was reading (Broom Tree). How much shade does it provide?

The Biblical Broom Tree is Retama raetam, more a shrub than a tree. So really no shade at all. Maybe people were shorter 2000 years ago. Maybe an olive tree; you could sit under an olive tree.
