'Jewel of the Nile' was added to my garden in 2005. It's a sport of 'Dee's Golden Jewel' and when part of it reverted to solid yellow, I called that plant 'Dee's Golden Jewel' although it's not completely kosher to do so. Unique colour combination. The leaves emerge blue-green and develop an irregular golden-yellow border with some streaking by June. The leaf is quite rounded but comes to a point and has superior substance.
