|First, Guara is now considers Oenothera. There is a Oenothera Dark Pink listed in the data base. You can look at it to see how to enter the name in the correct location.
Gaura (Oenothera lindheimeri Belleza™ Dark Pink)

|Sheri, your first problem is that you're misspelling Gaura. It's not "Guara." If you had searched for it with the correct spelling, you would have found that the 'Early Pink' cultivar is also sold as 'Compact Light Pink.'
Appleblossom Grass (Oenothera lindheimeri Belleza™ Early Pink)

|Generally speaking, how does one add a new plant (assuming having done due diligence, etc.)?|

|Begin by going to the home page of the database by clicking on the "Plant Database" link at the top of the blue box on the left-hand side of any page of our site. Then click on "Add a new plant to the database." Fill out the form, submit the proposal, and wait for it to be approved or declined.
Here's a thread about common errors in new plant proposals. I hope it will answer any questions you might have.
