|So has All Things Plants changed over to The National Garden Association overnight? I'm confused...

|The thread "ATP will soon be the NGA" in Site Talk forum|

|Yeah, I just found it also...

|So, I wonder if we will no longer having a new banner print everyday. I used to look forward to seeing the new picture by our members.

|I figure after the new wears off the banners will show up again
Apr 19, 2016 9:43 AM CST
|Yes, rather confusing for me too. Thought I had the wrong site for a moment there.
Though I had read about the change, the banner was still a surprise with the name change.

|Down at the bottom of my screen it says: Today's site banner is by Paul2032 and is called "Tomatoes, Pears, Apples" so I figured the banners were still going only they have the new logo over them which is somewhat larger than the old ATP logo.

|Years and years ago I used to get the National Gardening Association magazine (when it was still in print). I was sad when it discontinued. I am happy to see the association have an online presence....|
...but on the other hand, I have gotten used to this place as ATP, to think of it as a very personal place, with online friends, to be. Coming under the National Gardening Association label/umbrella feels like a bucket of ice water being thrown on me.... The site no longer feels personal...
Celebrating daylily season, one of many daylily seedlings...

|So far it's still the same, so I'm sure we'll adapt in time -- I'm already feeling more comfortable than I was a couple of hours ago...|

|I read through all of their legal verbiage, and hope that going ahead blindly, in faith , and respecting @dave, as he was happy enough to join forces with this organization, that all will be well. I hope we can resume our interactions, and that not too much will change.|
Am I naive or too trusting? I hope good sense will prevail, and we'll all come out the other side, smiling.
I just feel sorry for the four people I had encouraged to join, last week, that this added confusion won't turn them off.
Oh well. Whatever will be, will be.
I think we all need a to see us through!

|Don't worry, we didn't join forces with anybody. I obtained the domain name garden.org along with the National Gardening Association name and all that.|
This is 100% my project, owned by us and nobody has joined with us. It's still all the same people. Nothing has changed except our name.

|James and Peter are still buying way too many daylilies, so everything feels the same to me.|
Apr 19, 2016 1:03 PM CST
And very encouraging words from Dave!

|Thanks, Dave, for confirmation that all is well.|
You and your family are angels, to look after us, our photos and info, and the whole darned website.

|No one likes change, it's not in our DNA. Be flexible and patient and all will be good. This will be such a good enhancement to this already great site.|

|Checked out the extra pages in the left column, listened to the podcast, and yes,|
everything is great. Now, I'm so curious as to what comes next with all the ideas
Congrats, Trish and Dave on the 3rd adventure of your trilogy.

|I'm glad I read this. I wondered what the heck was going on. When did all this happen? .....Maryl|
