I had a few more open today and finally the wind died down a bit so I could get some pictures.

Here's Lucy's Reddy Set. What a cute little one!

Thanks Arlyn for sharing! Smiling

I have one of Bluebeard's babies called Code of Honor from MidAmerica that is about to bloom. It is a prolific plant so will post a pic when it does bloom.

I'm loving Reddy Set too! How tall is it? It would look great planted near Fancy Sparkler!

It's short, maybe 5 or 6 inches, I didn't measure it though.

It will get a little bigger for you next year, Tom....it runs about 10"-12' here (I think it's listed at 10"). I've noticed this year, that quite a few of my plants are either blooming 'short' , or 'tall"....and not just by a little bit, either ! My Snow Maiden....which is usually in the 12"-14" range.....has a few clumps that are topping out at 26" !! And Red Orchid, which usually is around 25", is only at 16" ! Shrug!

Viper was as tall as the TB's this year. Easily 30+ inches. Some very tall dwarfs here too, to go with short bloom stalks on some of the TB's. Imprimis is only 10 inches off the ground.

I'm seeing heights that are off this year too. Cat's Eye was taller, which I found delightful! Really showed its blooms off this year. I like SDBs that are on the upper end of the height range, 10-12" is great. This is such a big yard with such big beds full of voluminous plants, so the tiny guys just don't show off much. Someday I'd like some sort of raised, terraced bed for little fellows and alpine plants.

I'm also seeing small blooms -- like the plant hurried up and produced the flower, but the flower didn't have time to mature..............

My Into the Blue bloom buds are looking smaller than they should be, but they did go through the 20s early on, boohoo.

I have first time blooms on Out Walkin and they seem small to me compared to most of my other TBs.

Bee Kind, make the world a better place.
