Did they say if it was a tree? Wish we knew what the leaves looked like. My eyes are not the greatest; is the bloom yellow or a creamy white color? I can't see a close up of this flower on this one for comparison:

Gaillardia pulchella seed head is what I think it may be. Fantastic photo.
