Background history:

'Gleber's Top Cream' is a semi-evergreen diploid introduced in 1986 by Spalding-W.. No other information on the hybridizer.

Gleber's Top Cream is an early to mid-season extended bloomer with possible rebloom. It has earned the Honorable Mention: 1989 AHS award. It is listed as showing a rust resistance of 1.0. It is pod and pollen fertile with 4 registered children listed: http://garden.org/plants/parentage/26873/

This is an interesting cultivar. The petal texture and shape is different than any other daylilies I currently have. It shows diamond dusting. It is described as a "cream and pink peach polychrome with green throat". I think that is a very accurate description of the blooms. I find it to be unusual and because of that, I like it. The foliage has also been resistant to rust. (Always a big plus for me living in the south.)

I received 2 fans in July 2015. This May 2016 it has produced 2 scapes with a total of only 7 blooms. But I am sure that will increase once this cultivar settles in. I will be watching to see if it re-blooms this year. It's third bloom today was polymerous! I hope to use it in my daylily hybridizing hobby.
