|WE HAVE BEEN GROWING RED NORLAND POTATOES FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW FOR THE COLUMBIA PACIFIC FOOD BANK IN ST. HELENS, OREGON 97051 WITHIN OUR 2.6 ACRES. THIS YEAR 300LBS OF SEED POTATOES ARE BEING SECTIONED INTO TWO EYE PIECES, AND PLANTED. CAME OUT WITH ALMOST 12 WHITE BUCKETS OF SECTIONS TO PLANT. BECAME A MASTERGARDENER IN 1983. |Welcome to Richard and Colleen! We've been waiting for you, kept the light on....LOL....
I do so applaud what you are doing, it is what I had hoped to one day accomplish myself and as yet have not. Starting over now on a small city lot rather than a larger property, I don't see that happening, but one never knows. I would like to think that everyone who CAN grow food to help others less fortunate would / could do so....you are doing your part.
