Life Can Throw us curve balls , l
this get 8-10 ft tall or more with daisy type yellow flowers
it isn't cut leaf coneflower for the leaves are Much bigger & Stalks Much larger .
these leaves are 8-10 " long or wide .

The only other tall one that comes to my mind is
Bear's-foot (
Smallanthus uvedalia
)
which is a Michigan native but the leaves don't seem to match.

Replace your lawn with a garden!
The leaves look like mugwort to me, but daisy like flowers wouldn't fit with that.
