May be Proboscidea, an Arizona native wildflower: http://www.fireflyforest.com/f... http://www.fireflyforest.com/f... Edited to add: Maybe it was a hitchhiker? http://waynesword.palomar.edu/... ~ Playing in the dirt is my therapy ... and I'm in therapy a lot! ~ |

I have the perenial one that I got this past summer and I did not notice any smell. It went dormant fairly quick though I will have to pay attention to it next year when it wakes up. Marie Caramels are only a fad. Chocolate is a permanent thing |

Poor thing...who wants a plant called Devil's Snot? Somebody really hates that plant.... I could be wrong... and..... "maybe I should have kept my mouth shut....." The Urge for Seeds is Strong in This One..... |

I didn't plant it, it just showed up all on it's own...Don't remember every planting anything by that name either... I haven't done any seeding in ages... |

Surprises are fun, but that one is a doozy..lol. Marie, what warrants planting it? Does it have more to offer in the perennial form? I could be wrong... and..... "maybe I should have kept my mouth shut....." The Urge for Seeds is Strong in This One..... |

Alan, it was probably a gift from animals or birds passing through your property. We sometimes get nice surprises from wildlife and sometimes not so nice if it's weeds or unwanted pest plants. ~ Playing in the dirt is my therapy ... and I'm in therapy a lot! ~ |
