Hi, I found this plant last night and I would like some help figuring out what it is. It was terribly root bound so I just performed my first... plant surgery... and I would like to give it the best care possible so it can flourish! Thanks Smiling

Happy to suggest! As a found discard, check it carefully for pests.

Corn plants are practically indestructible; repotting will probably stimulate new, maybe furious growth... Welcome to the site @emilym123...
