I'm desperate to find out what this plant is called, could you help in anyway? The little flowers close every evening and re open at sunrise. I would really appreciate your help

Cuphea hyssopifolia (False Heather) has smaller leaves.

Lycianthes rantonnetii looks very different. It is a member of the Solanum family and the common name is potato bush

Blue Potato Bush (Lycianthes rantonnetii)

Appears to be somewhat toxic, too. My neighbor in California had these growing along a walkway. I always wanted them, but they for sure won't survive here!
