I haven't a clue what this is, don't believe it's anything I've ever grown before (or why it's in this pot...LOL), but when you trade seeds, you do occasionally get stowaways.....

I think that when I notice it in the mornings, the top two leaves are in 'prayer' position, as closed...

I am not sure. But it looks like a kind of Salvia to me.

Really? Wow, that would be very interesting as I was growing a lot (a LOT....LOL..) of salvias and this would be one I've not seen before. Thank You, I do hope you're correct...we'll see if anyone else has anything else to say....I can always check with Robin (in the U.K.) and see if he recognizes it also.....he's also salvia knowledgable.

I say Robin because I've gotten seeds from Robin in the past, but Kermit may also recognize this one if it's a salvia.....FBTS....Kermit, please, do you know this one?

Could be clerodendrum bungeii?

Clerodendrum is a good suggestion. Look at the leaf shape of Clerodendrum trichotomum, in particular the base.
