Just planted some caladium around a red bud tree, first time to try and grow these colorful leaves, now it looks lIke I have a flower???? Do caladium bloom???

Thanks for posting. I knew they might bloom, but have never seen one despite having had a lot of caladiums.

I quite often see a bloom, but it's usually after I've forgotten to water them for a few days. They do like lots of water to grow lush foliage. Mulch would help to keep the roots cooler and more moist, too.
