I saw this shrub in a shopping center in the Charlotte NC area. Can anyone tell me what type of shrub it is? Thanks in advance.

I think it may be Abelia x grandiflora. The new growth is bronzy and it makes a nice evergreen hedge. Shearing it will remove the flowering buds.
When counting, try not to mix chickens with blessings.

I agree, it sure looks a lot like a variety of Glossy Abelia (Linnaea x grandiflora) to me too.
