I recently discovered that some (but not all) rose cultivars that are noted for their strong fragrance are not at all fragrant to me! So I went to Hershey Gardens in Hershey, PA 17033, to smell the roses in their Historic Rose Garden.

Here are some photos of the garden, mostly viewed from the visitors' center:

Here are some cultivars that were pleasingly fragrant to me:

Eternal Flame:

Good As Gold (wonderful lemon fragrance):

Melody Parfumee (beyond peak; my apologies):

These cultivars were somewhat fragrant to me, but I did not find their fragrance to be very pleasant:

Dolly Parton:

Crimson Glory:

Chrysler Imperial:

Rose fragrance as perceived by different people has become intriguing to me.
