I found a small ficus at a local store and fell in love with it. I searched for the plant when I got home and I thought that I had properly identified it as a Curly Ficus. Upon further research though, there is no such thing, and picture searches have led me to links identifying the same variant as a Curly Fig, ficus benjamina 'barok'/'curly', and ficus pumila 'curly'. None of these variations are in the NGA database, and I can't fathom how I could have found an unusual variant in a rural grocery store.
I'm sure that I'm just somehow missing the proper name for this cool little plant, and am hoping that someone might know the answer.
Thanks! Kristin

Welcome! Kristin! I can tell you that I have no idea, but I love it as well! Wish I could find one here! It certainly is a cool looking plant!
Hoping that someone here recognizes it and can give you an answer. It could be that it is a new cultivar that has not been added yet to our database. Maybe @zuzu, or @califsue, could help?

Plants Admin

I think it's fairly new and hadn't been added to our database yet.

Here's an entry for it:

Hi kubedu, Welcome!

That is the neatest looking Ficus benjamina I've ever seen! Lovey dubby I think I need to be on the lookout for 'Barok' at local garden centers and nurseries here in Florida!

@zuzu Thanks for adding this one to the database!

Thank you everyone for your help! I believe that I uploaded the pictures, though they're not showing up in the entry (maybe they have to be approved?). If that didn't work I will retry.

Hurray! I see your photos in the database now! Yes, they go into a queue for one of the database moderators to approve before we can see them.
