Hello to all, I am a new member, and had purchased several clumps of daylilies from a local supplier last year. The plants are looking great, and I wish to to accurately label them. I have used the AHS online database as well as the daylily database on this website, but I cannot find a picture of Hemerocallis "Passion flower". It is described as "deep melon", but that isn't very helpful. A photo would be most appreciated, as I am trying to identify my purchases. On a related note, I have a list of my purchases, but I'm finding that some of the plants don't "match" the names. I fear some may have been mislabled by the grower, as the scape height/ flower isn't as described in the database. With so many named varieties, is there a reliable method to accurately identify the specific cultivar? Thanks in advance! |

BlueRidge, Welcome Pictures of the blooms along with a list of possible names would be a big help us try to name a few. Sorry, I could not find a photo of 'Passion Flower'. |

BlueRidge - ![]() If you have any bloom photos, please post them here. That will help to ID what you may have. Stats are good, too! What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters, compared to what lies within us. Garden Rooms and Becky's Budget Garden |

![]() The color isn't very well represented here, the flowers are more of an apricot or coral color. The scapes are 33", and the blooms are 6" across, with a fuschia eyezone and yellow to green throat. ![]() |

Seedfork said:BlueRidge, Welcome The list of unidentified flowers include: Court Magician Cranberry Jewel Passion Flower Strawberry Sundae I've identified the others, so that leaves these four possibilities, unless the variety isn't properly named. I included photos in the thread. Thanks for your help! |

BlueRidge, I can't find a registered listing for Strawberry Sundae. So it could of course be that, can't find a photo of 'Passion Flower', but the written description does not seem to fit it. I think you can rule out 'Court Magician'. If it is first bloom I do think it is still possible that it could be 'Cranberry Jewel', just possible. Not much help but I enjoyed guessing. |

Blueridge-- ![]() Could the name of one be Strawberry Sunday instead of Sundae? Many blessings to all for a wonderful fourth of July! One to take to heart....1 John 4 |
