Another one found at Brookgreen Gardens in Murrells Inlet, SC. This was a bush more then 5 foot tall. I've only seen the buds and not the actual blooms. This one my mother told me the name, but now she's not sure what it is. Thank you for any and all help!!

It does resemble Mountain Laurel (Kalmia latifolia)

hee hee, I couldn't tell ya what it looks like blooming, but I scrolled down to the photos and saw one with a few buds and it sure does look like it!! Solved then!!
