Recently purchased a small snow gardenia via amazon. Plant looks like it needs more room.
My question is if it requires regular garden soil or something more porous like cactus soil.
All responses welcome.

Father Damien-Marie, Welcome! to NGA

I think I remember you were growing a garden on a rooftop in New York City. Is that right? How is it doing?

Gardenias require the same conditions as Azaleas: Constantly moist with a slightly acid, airy soil. A combination of something like Miracle-gro Moisture Control with some added milled peat would be perfect.

Looks like you signed up under a new name, was there a reason you didn't use your previous member name?
