I KNEW I was old when I had to resort to EBAY to find my FAVORITE lipstick color !!

You know you are old when a good day is you have 4 errands to accomplish and you get 1 1/2 of them done!

It is not you...TIME moves differently!

My DH said he knew he was old when his father's face kept appearing in the mirror while shaving and his father's hands were attached to his wrists.

I knew I was old when I was explaining to my 16 year old granddaughter during a driving lesson, that there used to be a button on the floor on the drivers side that controlled the bright lights!

My grandson asked why there was not a button on my toothbrush!

I was finally throwing away all those white and yellow pages and sophia asked me what kind of books they were because she knew I read my books on kindle.

I looked at those things and realized how crazy big they were.

I told her that they were used to help her cousin Ben use/ reach the commode when he was
little ( that was true)

A friend's granddaughter saw the hot rollers I was taking to the landfill, and knowing I am always at the stove asked me what I cooked, with those..I told her they are used to keep spaghetti from tangling. She told her parent and I got a lecture about how important it is to tell kids the truth because they develop trust.

Yet they leave that tooth under the pillow......
And the Easter bunny chews that carrot each April....

I know I am old when while cooking tonight's dinner all from scratch right down to the pie crust, peeling carrots and not using baby carrots, and homemade pilaf, it reminded me when I was babysitting a friend's kids once. She called to tell them she was on her way. Her son asked if they could stay for dinner as I had planned saying, "Miss Cheryl is cooking, I mean *real* cooking!" hahahaha

And I bet he planned to do some real eating!

You know you are old when you have to seriously consider whether you should have that second glas of water before bedtime!

LOL -- so I guess I need to stop telling kids that my purple pole beans are grape-flavored?

Oh yes! You wil no doubt damage them for life!

And, I should hang up the flashlight and quit taking them on walks to look for tiny petal dwelling fairies!

I told my young DD that she had to go to bed so we could go outside and eat bugs (or rather, sit on the patio and drink wine) . I told her when she was 13, she could stay up later with us and we we would teach her how to eat bugs. OR if she wanted to stay up late we could teach her early. She went right to bed. To this day she remembers going to bed horrified!
