Hi all,

Hoping somebody might be able to help me identify this plant. I've recently noticed it near where I work and was wondering what it was, since the flowers were nice.

My first thought is a variety of Dietes but flower is wrong for these two.
Cape Iris (Dietes iridioides)
Butterfly Iris (Dietes grandiflora)

Did some more searching and it looks a bit like Dietes butcheriana: http://www.smgrowers.com/products/plants/plantdisplay.asp?pl...

I believe I. japonica was/is commonly sold in various general plant catalogs, making it even more likely to be that one.
