I posted this in the ID forum, but had no takers. Any ideas on what begonia this is?

I believe your begonia is B. fusca. Go to the International Database of Begoniaciae at this address:

ibegonias.filemakerstudio.com.au/browserecord.php?-action=browse&-recid=1951&-recnum=1&p=photo

This species is from Mexico - none I am aware of are from the Dominican Republic. It is classified as Rhizomatous, Giant Leaved, lobed. Leaves get to 12" or larger. If leaves do not get that large, let me know size and I'll try again.

Thank you for your response. Sorry, I hadn't been in here in a few weeks, so didn't see your post. I don't have this one myself, it was growing in landscaping at a location we were visiting while on vacation in the Dominican Republic a few years ago.

It does look like B. fusca is a possibility, though, if not the actual ID.
