Keeping Track of Your Garden Beds and Plants Using a Camera

By beckygardener

Many gardeners need a way to easily keep track of their garden beds as well as their plants (especially if they are hybridizing). With camera in hand, I came up with two ideas that have worked for me.

What are those red blocks or whatever they are you used to make your bed?

I do something similar with my camera, except I'm not as detailed. When I finished planting the bulbs my wife and I picked out, I placed the package labels by each area they're planted in (but removed them afterwards) and took pics for future reference should I need it.

I like that idea, Greg! Thumbs up Thumbs up Thumbs up

Those red "blocks" are concrete pavers turned on their side, adhered together to created a raised bed wall, and painted. I tend to think of some odd ideas using concrete. And I think how I can make things cheaply. Concrete material + cheap = inexpensive raised beds. Big Grin

I'm all for inexpensive stuff that works! The cost of buying cedar beds is, frankly, horrible! What did you use to adhere the pavers together?

I used construction adhesive. It comes in a tube (like caulking), so you have to use a caulking gun.
