My Amaryllis bulb seems to be splitting in the pot. Is this normal? Is pot too small causing it to split?

Amaryllis like to be root bound, it may be time to go to a slightly larger pot.

Your Amaryllis should still be in its dormant state at this point and kept completely dry. It is normal for outer layers of the bulb to dry, turn brown and peel off.

Sorry, misread the post, thought you were talking about the pot splitting. Will is exactly correct.
